Dear ,
I wanted to share an update from Nepal, and some of what we're hearing from our partners as they continue to respond.
More than 1,250 people have now been confirmed dead and over 4,000 remain missing.* Search and rescue operations are continuing, while damaged roads and bridges are making some communities incredibly difficult to reach.
Through the ACT Alliance, Act for Peace is supporting partners responding on the ground in Nepal. Today, I wanted to share an update directly from DanChurchAid (DCA), one of the organisations your gifts are supporting, about their work on the ground and what comes next.
DCA is working alongside other local organisations and the Government of Nepal to deliver life-saving support including food, shelter kits, water supplies, alternative power supplies and dignity kits.
You can hear directly from DCA Nepal about the response so far, and what comes next, in this update from the ground. |

Thank you to everyone who has already given, prayed and supported this incredible work.
In the coming weeks, priorities will shift toward restoring livelihoods and small businesses, rehabilitating water and sanitation facilities, strengthening protection and psychosocial support, and finding additional shelter for people who've been displaced; a growing and urgent need.
This is not going to be a short recovery. Rebuilding safely, and helping communities become more resilient to future disasters, will take sustained support over the months ahead.
If you have already given, thank you! Your generosity is helping make this response possible. If you haven't given or would like to continue supporting the people of Nepal, please give today to help DCA and other local partners reach more families with the help they urgently need. |
