Peace is rarely built through one extraordinary moment. More often, it grows through countless ordinary acts of courage, compassion and faithfulness.
That's the thread running through this edition of our newsletter.
You'll meet the inspiring women of the Kesatuan Enterprise Group in Indonesia, who are building more than a business. By working together, strengthening their livelihoods and preparing before disasters strike, they're creating a more secure future for their families and their community. It's a powerful reminder that when local communities have the opportunity to lead, resilience grows from within.

You'll read about the devastating earthquakes in Venezuela, where trusted local organisations are walking alongside communities on the long road to recovery. So many of our faithful supporters have given to this appeal but the humanitarian needs remain immense, and the long journey of rebuilding homes, livelihoods and hope is only just beginning.
As we mark World Humanitarian Day, we honour the courageous people who continue to serve communities displaced by conflict and disaster. I'm privileged to introduce you to Alaa AlSalaiti, one of the remarkable local leaders we are honoured to partner with in Jordan. His humility, compassion and commitment reflect the extraordinary leadership we see in our partners around the world every day.
Closer to home, we invite you to stand with churches across Australia through the #EndTheWaiting campaign. Australia has welcomed one million refugees since 1947. But 75 years after the Refugee Convention came into being, millions of people are still waiting for safety, certainty and the chance to belong. Together, we can continue to advocate for a more compassionate and welcoming Australia.
And finally, I encourage you to read the story of long-time supporter Shawn Whelan. Shawn reminds us that generosity isn't simply about giving when we're moved by a crisis. It's about living lives shaped by faith, justice and a deep commitment to loving our neighbours.
Each of these stories reflects the same truth: lasting peace is built in partnership.
