Since the Syria crisis began in 2011, millions of people have been displaced for their homes, just like Malek* and her family. Act for Peace works with its local partner, to provide refugees living in urban refugee camps in Jordan with urgently needed food rations, household items and medical care. Dear David,

This milestone is too special to keep to ourselves any longer! And of course, you had to be the first to know.
As a generous supporter, I couldn’t let it pass without saying THANK YOU for being there with us, and standing with people that have been uprooted by conflict and disaster. 🙏
It means so much, to know that you are with us and it’s why I also wanted to take this moment to share why today is SO special

… YOU, David, are one of the first to know that in exactly SEVEN DAYS time, we will be launching our VERY FIRST Giving Day! 🎉

What is a Giving Day, I hear you ask?

Well, on Wednesday 2 October every dollar you give will be MATCHED by some wonderful friends of ours (we’re calling them our ‘Peace Makers’). That’s right! When you give to Act for Peace online, your generosity will be multiplied. Right before your eyes! 👀

You’ll need to be quick though! We’ve called it A Day to Act for Peace because this amazing opportunity only lasts for 24 hours!

It couldn’t come at a more important time. Right now, there are more than 120 million people around the world who have been forced out of their homes by conflict and disaster.

That’s more than at any other point in recorded history!

As someone who lost my parents to conflict when I was a child, and spent many years in a refugee camp, I know how important it is for people who have been forced from their homes to feel safe, and to belong. They aren’t just numbers. They are real people with dreams, hopes and aspirations that can be realised.

A Day to Act for Peace is YOUR CHANCE to bring that hope home. To unite in our shared humanity, and show people that they are not alone. 💙

Your gifts are invested in life-changing support and programs that help empower people displaced by conflict and disaster around the globe, to find safety in exile and rebuild their lives.

So, here’s what I need you to do today: add A Day to Act for Peace to your calendar so you don’t miss your chance to have your incredible generosity MATCHED.

Together we’ll make sure that people fleeing their homes have everything they need to rebuild their lives, regain their autonomy and build a brighter future. 🕊

Are you ready?!

Mark the date in your diary today, and together we can make our very first (so exciting!!) A Day to Act for Peace one to remember!

P.S. It means so much that we can do A Day to Act for Peace together! Don’t miss this chance to multiply your impact and make your gift go further than ever before!
💙
